We will be sharing 5 tips and tricks to prevent the harmful effects of haze inhalation.

 

1. Haze proof your homes with an air purifier

Particulate matter from haze can be easily inhaled into our lungs. Prolonged exposure to these harmful particles may increase the risk of developing respiratory conditions and trigger breathing sensitivities.

3. Take note of PSI levels and go outdoors only if necessary

4. Drink more water

Hazy conditions can irritate your throat and respiratory system, and staying well-hydrated helps to soothe dryness and support your body’s natural ability to flush out toxins. Keeping your fluid intake up can also reduce discomfort such as headaches and fatigue caused by poor air quality.

 

5. Remember to mask-up when you are outdoors

Don your N95 mask when going outdoors for prolong period of time.

While surgical mask may provide a barrier of defense between the wearer’s nose and larger particles in the air, if is not as efficient in filtering the small particles that are 2.5 microns or less in width.

For longer exposure to haze, N95 mask would be a more effective barrier against haze and its harmful pollutants.
